Ever wondered why monks prefer to sit in the Lotus position when meditating?

That’s because of the level of stability it creates within the body. When you sit back on your buttocks in the Lotus position, you create stability in the pelvis region where your spine is also supported. Stability in your body helps you to sit still which makes it a lot easier to still your mind.

When I prepare myself for my meditation session, the minute I sit this way, in the Lotus position, I notice how quickly my mind recognises, “ok it’s quiet time” and the stillness created by the stability and support from my body helps to give the mind a grounding sensation.

What is also fascinating, is when we sit in this position it also creates the shape of the pyramid. Now, I don’t know if this is intentional of the monks but I am aware that when meditating in a pyramid, it does help to achieve a much more powerful meditation.

Let’s take a closer look at pyramids and meditating…

Maitreya Pyramid is the world’s largest meditation pyramid, located on Kanakapura Road, Bengaluru.

Researchers have found over the years that the Ancient Egyptians may have used the pyramids as Power Plants due to the energy they hold. Others believe they were using them as sound healing centres due to the acoustics within them.

Now going by the history we have been taught over the years, allegedly, the Ancient Egyptians used the pyramids as a resting place. It is said they believed they contained cosmic power to be able to connect the dead with their afterlife.

In a previous blog, I wrote how many ancient structures were created as places of learning. A structure would be built according to certain sacred geometric principles in order to create certain frequencies within the individual. You can read more about that here.

In India they see pyramids as a source to harness cosmic energy and they use this for the purpose of meditation.

Did you know there is a Pyramid Party of India?

The Pyramid Party

The Pyramid Party of India was founded by Brahmarshi Patriji on 25th February 1999. B. V. Reddy was the founder president of the party and is also a meditator.

Brahmarshi looked at the word ‘Pyramid’ and noticed if you break it down to Pyro-Amid we learn something very interesting about this word and possibly the true meaning behind the ‘Pyramid’.

Let’s have a closer look: Pyro means fire or energy and Amid means centre. Does that then mean that the true purpose of a pyramid is a structure with energy at its centre? Apparently so…Let’s look even closer…

So when we sit in the Lotus position we can see how we outline the shape of the pyramid. Now let’s look at our own energy centres.

We can see when we sit this way our Base Chakra, which is the core foundation for our physical vitality, keeps us grounded to the Earth. The Base Chakra is the ultimate anchor for support.

So if the true purpose of a pyramid’s structure holds the energy at its centre and our energy centres are the Heart and Solar Plexus Chakras doesn’t it make more sense to sit this way when meditating?

The HeartMath Institute also speak of the heart’s electromagnetic field expanding beyond our body.

According to Brahmarshi, meditating in a pyramid is most effective, receiving 3 times the power of regular meditation.

The most stable structure in the world is the pyramid. It naturally aligns with the Earth’s electromagnetic field.

FACT: A recent study published discovered that the Great Pyramid in Egypt can store electromagnetic energy.

A pyramid can be made out of any material but has to be aligned to the exact cardinal directions for north, south, east and west, forming an angle of 52 degrees, 52 minutes, this way it receives the highest Cosmic Energy.

The ‘King’s Chamber’ is where the energy accumulates at 1/3rd in height from the base of the Pyramid.

Placing a crystal at the crown of the pyramid causes it to absorb Cosmic Energy that radiates throughout the entire room of the pyramid.

Due to the Earth’s energy that the Pyramid retains, meditation inside the pyramid helps to achieve greater heights in Meditation and helps to communicate to higher frequency realities.
